Weak.
Would have liked to see “Scissors for Lefty” performing once again in Miami.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m fairly excited about seeing Fountains of Wayne in Boston and Blues Traveler in Chicago.
What kind of genre are they, DB?
Sorry I am a Jazz head and live mostly under that musical rock.
FoW are a rock band. Blues Traveler do blues for the most part, but fairly upbeat-safe-for-the-radio stuff. And John Popper, the lead guy of BT, plays a mean mouth harp!
What?? No Flogging Molly 😉
Vertical Who? I’ve heard of the rest of these bands but, meaning no disrespect, who the heck is Vertical Horizon? I would have expected them to have nailed a bigger-named act for LA, especially considering their music scene!
BTW, thanks for the Scissors For Lefty plug, I’m friends with Steve and Brian and I know they absolutely love the fan support they’ve been getting!
James
Oh my. These look like the sort of bands that would play at the 4th of July festival the suburb I live in puts on each year. Actually, these bands have played at my suburb’s 4th of July festival. You’d think BMW would have the clout to get acts not so … irrelevant.
Funny, I was just thinking that I wish Chicago got Vertical Horizon. Seems the age differences are showing underneath our MINI armors.
Yeah… what Shamus said…
Total let down. Personally, I know at 10 bands that could rock MTTS-LA harder. I mean, appeal to a widespread demographic (Yes, I’m still going anyway, but with my iPod and headphones).
^^ (and by personal i mean yeah i live in SoCal and 1/2 the people i know are in the music industry.)
Shamus, please send Brian and Steve and the rest of those guys my regards. I saw them on stage in Miami and then in Orlando last year when they were the opening band for Erasure.
Scissors for Lefty is a band that plays with an incredible amount of energy… a total class act!
Look forward to see them again in the future.
