R57 MINI Convertible to Debut in Detroit
We’ve just learned that MINI’s new convertible (codenamed the R57) will make it’s official debut at the Detroit Auto Show in early January. Viral marketing for the car should start sometime around November with the tag-line “Always Open” prominent.
Look for sales to begin in early spring of 2009. For further R57 information be sure to check our R57 section.
The R57 pictures above show the car at the gas station near the Ring. Can’t wait to see the R57 in person.
I am not that crazy about it. Probably looks better in person.
The convertable looks more resolved than the hatch, does anyone have any idea as to whether or not the R57 will preview the facelift on the R56 as per the previous generation?
