Ok the above isn’t exactly in Chicago but here’s a sneak peak at our press car and our coming review of the R57 due late next week. 60 degree temps gave us a chance to put the top down and actually (gasp) enjoy the car during the Chicago winter. Now if it would only stop raining.

I had my top down since Thursday.
73 here.
Heated seats a must, does the press car have heated?
It looks loaded like most of them, but its not interchange yellow.
Thats what you need gabe interchange yellow..lol

Looking forward to hearing about the “ride”. Is it too stiff/sporty?. In other words, suspension, rims(looks like 17in rims) and whether you have DSC only or DTC as well. Mirror caps suggest the premium pack is installed…How about that alarm? Can you reach into the car top down without setting it off? Enjoy the testdrive! Looking forward to your review.

60 isn’t winter! 15 or lower is winter … the R52 doesn’t work well then; does the new one have a triple power heater?

@Ian C.: We’ve had a enough of the -20F that I think we deserve a 60 now and again in March :)

I had the top down on the highway in mist at 37F this morning and with gloves, hat and a jacket I was fine.

So……could this be your next car Gabe???

@greg:

I think if Gabe is to come back to the MINI fold, a Clubman is more up his alley (Think baby and baby stuff).

The Cabrio while probably bags of fun for the baby lacks basic storage space, but I could be wrong…

Naah.. Gabe is waiting for the Crossover CRV…
Good news – Spring is on the way to enjoy the Convertible.

@William: If you press the lock button a second time the motion detector is disabled.
