Last week we gave you the biggest MINI Countryman Gallery in the world. This week we’re giving you the biggest 2011 MINI gallery in the world.
We’ve broken it down to two galleries; one previously released and featuring mostly the Cooper S and another just released featuring the Cooper and Cooper D models.
To put it plainly you won’t find a better place to see the 2011 MINI until they’re on dealer lots September 18th.
Cooper & Cooper D

Cooper S

I really like the new Striped Alloy dash.

Those erector-set wheels… not so much.

I got the impression the interior surface materials were supposed to be better than before? Dash, center etc. Other than the color change they seem to be the same.

Still no single ‘off” button or switch for the climate control function! Huge omission, MINI. Toggling down to turn it of is ridiculous.

The interior looks nicer, but I’m not a fan of the added chrome on the front and rear ends. Especially around the rear fog lights. (I’m with David See – an off button for the climate control would be awesome.)

Like the side scuttle on that Cooper D… Looks like the insert could be removed and painted. Might have to pick some of those up…

I liked the previous more subtle rear fog lights rather than these new chrome encrusted ones!

No Chrome Pkg, no chrome there. Is the US. Configurator not to be released till Sept. also?

Who says that you have to order the chrome package to get those chromed brake ducts and rear fog light chrome? The chrome is an option. There is a Clubman, white I believe, that shows what the NON chromed brake ducts look like. Also, it appears that the rear fogs are still an option, so don’t order them. I imagine that the back up lights will still be where the rear fog lights are. GABE: Have you seen a hatchback with out the rear fog lights? I’m kind of curous about that, too, although I, personally like the idea of rear fog lights, but without the chrome.

When are we going to see prices? For those of us who are planning on placing an order to get the exact options we want–seems like the MINI 2011 prices are a more closely guarded secret than the security code for Fort Knox.
A bit concerning, don’t you think?

I had always wished I could get a black MINI w/ red roof & mirror caps.. guess I’ll have to start saving up for that JCW MINI… Looks awesome!

@Bill: Previous posted info indicated that the rear fogs and reverse lights were integrated. I took that to mean that they came together as one unit (so everyone gets them). I doubt many will order the chrome package. Don’t order too many of those from your supplier, MINI!

Have they outsourced design to Kia? Seriously. First there were the nasty hood creases behind the scoop on the R56, those hideous chrome taillight moldings and tragic “center stack.” Now we have these completely indefensible chrome ports on the front and rear fasciae. Frank Stephenson, please return and slap some of these MINI design b!tches upside they head.

I still say that the Cooper front bumper looks great along with the D hood. There is something I don’t like about the brake ducts on the S and I think that they are too defined, they stand out too much. I love the JCW body kit where they are just negative space and don’t have a lip around them.

Where are the pictures of normal coopers? It appears all the cars in the first gallery are diesels (white coupe, green clubman, orange cabrio are all D’s).

Will the Cooper bumper be the same as the D bumpers once the facelift comes out? Or is there a bumper we haven’t seen yet?

I think all the coopers look like this, The 2011 coopers get the D Hood/bonnet also.
