MINI USA is reporting sales of 2,786 automobiles, an increase of 8.7 percent from the 2,564 cars sold last year. Of course this is a change-over period for MINI with some dealers blowing out 2010 models while simultaneously selling the refreshed 2011 line-up. It’s also a the calm before the storm with Countryman sales just about to start.
Year-to-date, MINI USA is reporting sales of 41,324 automobiles, a decrease of 1 percent from the 41,736 cars sold in the same period of 2009.

What percentage of those were Countryman orders?

“What percentage of those were Countryman orders?”

Zero percent. Orders do not count as sales.

I personally had a great sales month.

GO MINI!!!!

We were one of those buyers. 🙂 We added a 2011 Clubman to our fleet to compliment the 05 Cabrio.

pretty sure when the Countryman hit dealers the orders will pick up big time. I know at least 4 people who never considering the Mini due the fact was too “mini”. LOL
Myself included.

I just hope this doesn’t mean that 0.9% will stop in January.

@Gugy: I know what you mean, but it’s going to be funny when people who wouldn’t buy a MINI because it’s too small (including Clubman) buy a Countryman when it’s not really any roomier, just taller. I’ll just shake my head and smile. Of course, for some, the 4 doors matter quite a bit too.

GO MINI! Whew, when the Countryman hits and then the twins… I bet 2011 sales will be amazing!

No man, has more space for sure. Look, I am 6’8″ tall and on the hatchback Mini nobody can seat behind me. On the Countryman I had an adult sitting fine behind and he was like 6′ tall.
There is at least 3 or 4 inches more of legroom in that car than the hatchback.
