Our friends down under at AUSmotive.com sent us this review of the MINI Countryman, which has just launched in Australia. It’s great to get diverse reactions to the car and this one is definitely worth a look.
Now that the Countryman has arrived in Australia we can really begin to form a solid opinion. So, after seeing the car for the first time today, and enjoying a brief test drive, we’re leaning towards loving the love-or-hate four-door MINI. It’s not a full on love affair yet, but we’ve seen enough to warrant a second date.
So go give it a read. Big thanks to Liam for sending it in.

Well the colour is spank’n, dat’s fo sure! Like the rims also.

i still wanna build a 300whp All4 and see how that does… just need to swap my current setup on my R56 to it and it’ll be set ;)

sad part is the base Countryman is a little over $38,000.00 US dollars!

It’s even sadder because the AU$ is currently pretty much at parity with the US$.

I priced up an All4 Countryman Cooper S a while back, with nav, full leather and a couple of other options, and the final price was almost AU$68K.

You guys can probably buy an M3 for that, haha.

I dislike the Countryman’s design every time I see it. Bleh.

In Holland it is even worse.. The basic spec CM Cooper S will cost you 34500 euro… Thats approx. 47610 US dollars. No leather, no nav….
