MF / WRR Interview: Glympse

We also record exclusive conversations with MINI Executives during official events such as auto shows, press junkets or MINI Takes The States.
Next week we will kick-off our 2014-2015 interview season with James Stanton, Partner Product Manager at [Glympse](http://www.glympse.com/).
If you are not familiar with the service, Glympse is a fast, free, and simple [app](https://itunes.apple.com/app/glympse-share-location-friends/id330316698?mt=8) that allows you to share your location in real time with people you trust. Our team used it constantly during MTTS to make sure our “caravan” would not break up between stops. [db](https://twitter.com/dbwilldo) loves the app so much that he still sends us Glympses from time to time.
Interestingly enough, Glympse and BMW/MINI [announced](http://www.glympse.com/news/press/12) a partnership last year and James was the lead on the Glympse side throughout the project. And that’s another reason we think the app is great; it integrates with MINI Connected.

<p>Does Glympse plan on adding any Twist-like ETA functionality to its service? A lot of folks (myself included) were left hanging when Twist shut down. We’re ripe for the picking but Glympse doesn’t quite do it.</p>
<p>For those unfamiliar, an online review explained Twist vs Glympse rather well, saying: “Twist is more about the when while Glympse is oriented toward the where.”</p>

<p>So we didn’t get to your question because we got the answer before the interview. The ETA option has always been available in the app. You just have to add-in the destination for it to pop-up. Hope that helps :)</p>
