2016 MINI Convertible – Mega Gallery

The 2016 MINI Convertible is here. All 200 photos of it. First out of the gate will be the Cooper and Cooper S variants which will hit showrooms in late winter/ early spring. Next will be the JCW variant which will launch in the latter half of the year.
But in the meantime today is a new MINI day. And that means massive galleries, tons of data and plenty of discussion. So have at it.

is that icy blue/green color F57 only?

Yes

:-( bummer. why do they reserve the best colors for only some models? Same like Jungle Green…

Interesting. Since the convertible is visually somewhat cut in half, the long nose does not seem as pronounced. Especially with the top down.

Maybe I’m biased as a 10-year R52 owner, but visibility-be-damned, I still like the look of the high roll bars. The F57 is a looker, though…

If you look at the pics with the last three generations it does kind of break your heart. The impact standards have raised the height of the nose/hood line quite a bit over the last decade. Shame.

And does it break your heart when you see amputees, injuried people ? safety standards have some meaning, and result in a certain aesthetic
