MINI Design Explain the Cool Uncle aka the Clubman
A few weeks ago we told you about “the Gentleman”, MINI Design’s internal term they used to personify what the Clubman should be. But what came before the gentleman was the idea of the “cool uncle”. In this video MINI design takes on a journey that defines where that idea came from and how it informed the design of the MINI Clubman.
<p>I just had one as a loaner for 4 days and did not notice the door bezels lighting up! Nor could I get the club doors to open with my foot as is supposed to happen.</p>
<p>The door bezel light is only available with the MINI Yours interior trim option. Additionally comfort access is a required option to open the boot with your foot. But I can vouch for it working. Mine has it and I use it constantly.</p>
<p>Thanks Gabe. I was wondering if it was option driven. Does yours have the shiny trim on the upper dash under the windshield? I noticed that at night when passing under street lights there was a refection off that strip that was rather annoying.</p>
