The JCW Countryman – What We know
We’ve spoken about F60 JCW Countryman a few times over the past weeks as a very known quantity. We know the drivetrain, the design and the release date and after last week’s Countryman launch, a few details.
JCW Countryman Technical specifications and details
According to sources JCW Countryman will mirror the JCW Clubman that was just released. That means we’ll see 228 hp and a whopping 258 ft lbs of torque. The Clubman sprints to 60 in 6 seconds so we expect the heavier Countryman to record something around 6.2. Top speed should be over 145 mph give that the slipperier Clubman gets to 147 mph.
Exterior styling will be very similar to the JCW exterior package already shown by MINI with more aggressive front intakes, side skirts and rear valance. Wheels will be 18″ standard with 19″s remaining optional. Unlike the silver roof raises standard on the normal Countryman, the JCW’s will be finished in black. Rebel Green will be the exclusive JCW color along with Chili red (which is also available on the normal F60 with the JCW exterior package).
Inside it’s much like the F56 hatch and Clubman with JCW specific materials, trim and those wonderful sport seats.
JCW Countryman Release Date
We expect the JCW Countryman to be debut in the second half of next year on the internet with a public debut likely set for September at the Frankfurt IAA. European sales should begin in November with US sales starting a month later.

<p>The front grille looks so much better in all-black with a single outer chrome surround – highlighting the classic Mini’s hexagonal grille – rather than with a second inner chrome surround which makes it look like a “sad clowns mouth”.</p>
<p>As much as I love my R60 All4, I wish I ponied up the extra $ for the JCW if only for the modest increase in output.</p>
