MINI sales hit an all time record in 2016 with over 360,000 cars sold worldwide. While the US small market continues to struggle, the same cannot be said for markets outside the US. The final number ended at 360233, up 6.4% from 2015 (which itself was a record year). While the F56 hatch continues to be a key driver of sales, the two that surprised the most were the Clubman and the Convertible.
Given that 2017 will see at least 9-10 months of new Countryman sales, we MINI should be on track to break the 360,000 mark once again in 2017.

MINI also achieved increased sales in February 2017, with a total of 21,045 vehicles delivered to customers around the world, sales were up 3.2% compared with the same month last year. MINI sales in the year-to-date are up 3.5% with a total of 40,611. The MINI Convertible 3,308 and the MINI Clubman 7,630 were the brand’s main growth drivers.
