Leaking low-res photos seems to be an unfortunate inevitability of car launches. As you can guess that’s happened with the highly anticipated New Countryman. Several poor quality images of the new crossover were leaked on Instagram late yesterday giving the world its first view of official photos of the all new Electric MINI Countryman.
What these photos show is the more upright yet minimal look of the new U25 Countryman. Also seen here is the all new interior which differs in design from the forthcoming MINI Cooper Electric that we previewed last month.
But these poor quality images are just a glimpse of what we will have for you when both the new MINI Countryman and MINI Cooper Electric launch at 5:01 AM est. We will have an in-depth look at both cars and our own hands-on first impressions followed by exclusive video walk-throughs.
I love motoringfile for the MINI content – but if this blog is to be taken as a definitive source, you’ve got to get rid of the multiple typos I see in every single article lately. Let me know if you want me to assist in editing, my AP style guide is at the ready!
As an owner of a 2007 MINI Cooper S, I think I am due for an upgrade. I look forward to seeing how this vehicle is slotted from a price perspective. The last thing we need is a super low volume $50K BEV. Please get it right BMW/MINI.
EV enthusiasts (with an Elon hate boner) are so hard up, as long as the Countryman isn’t a burning pile of garbage, they will flock to the MINI brand for the first time and beg for their $50k to be taken away from them.
Not with a range of 200ish miles and a slow charging speed.
I’ve been noticing more and more typos too. I understand it’s tough to proofread your own work but there’s room for improvement.
Please raise your hand – we would welcome help.
Still not digging those Land Rover Defender-esque sideburns — they’ll limit rear flank visibility from the cabin and I don’t expect MINI to offer optional storage bins or jerry cans hanging there. Would just make me want to get all-black paint or at least a black roof.
Will there be an All4 ICE variant? Another site claims that all ICE versions will be front-wheel drive. Hope that is not the case.
Not sure what site that is but they are wrong.
