A Dizzying Look at the Awesomeness of Small

It’s finally here. BSSP, MINI’s new ad agency has a special surprise for every US MINI owner. Over the next week or so we should all be receiving a “book” and a few clues from MINI USA. Be sure to keep an eye out for it in your mailbox if you haven’t already received it.

And remember, mailing out a package to every MINI owner in the US (over 150,000!) isn’t an easy process. Be patient if you don’t get anything right away.

Happy reading…

I got mine! It is very cool. Now if I can just get it to work. When I went to the owners lounge there was nothing to use the neat stuff in the book with. I’m sure the package got to me before the web site was updated. This was a very MINI way to advertise. I like it so far. Frank Broadway

Got mine too! It’s definitely very cool, I can’t wait to see what they come up with for it.

Do I get credit for this one?;)

For those that haven’t yet received it, a couple of non-spoiler pics on my weblog :)

Not that I’m aware of?

I’d recommend waiting (if you can) to see it until you get the package yourself. It just makes it more fun.

I wonder if you’re a second hand owner if you’ll get one? I did register my VIN in the owners lounge.

So if my car is on the way (just got off the boat in NY yesterday, as a matter of fact), can I expect one of these soon, or will it be a little bit before it shows up? Doesn’t bother me either way, I’m just excited to check it out.

Lee L Jul 18th, 2006 Link Reply to this comment

When I got it yesterday, in jest, my wife said something like “oh, one more thing for you MINI dorks to get all excited about, Why are they advertising to people who already bought the car.” To me that is just part of the whole thing.

I thought it was cool that they had some funny stuff on the black shipping box.

GSKChicago Jul 18th, 2006 Link Reply to this comment

I haven’t received mine yet, however I am eagerly awaiting. That said, I will piggy back onto Lee L’s comment in which his wife quasi made fun on MINI owners and MINI marketing.

I think it is brilliant for MINI to continue to stay in touch with funny marketing bits or what not with their current owners. For one, how many MINI owners are on their second or third or more MINI’s? How many are multiple MINI households. The love we owners have for our MINI’s are very hard to duplicate.

My wife drives an Acura and she/we receive virtually no mail or marketing materials from them. Add to that and my wife (nor I for that matter) have much emotion for her car. I get in my car and I smile. I get in her car and I point it and go. No emotion evoked.

Granted, the marketing materials MINI sends doesn’t make me smile when I get in my car, but it does remind me how unique an experience we MINI owners have.

Just checked the OL, it’s now updated with info about this goody box. You’ll find it under Owner Perks.

alpinamike Jul 18th, 2006 Link Reply to this comment

Thanks, I was wondering when that would be done, some of us did not wait and called BSSP, check NAM Blender post, and got the Mag. info.

Oh! Not fair! I live in Canada and we don’t get cool things like that. If anyone doesn’t want theirs……. let me know!!!!

Haven’t gotten mine yet, but have seen a friend’s. Packaging was excellent, as was the usual snappy copywriting. Well done. And again, I applaud MINI for amking the effort, keeping owners enthused about the brand.

Now if we can just find out what to do with them.

Anybody else think there’s a code in the author’s name? The word “MINI” is in there. So is “DRIVE”

It’s fun to be surprised by MINI. First there was the thermos, then the bingo kit, now this.
