<p>Laura – I would definitely not recommend installing something like this yourself. Unfortunately sarcasm doesn't always come through on the web very easily. I wanted to post it to let people see what exactly is involved in the installation. I think this is incredibly helpful for those who are curious about what they're spending $4500 + on not to mention the curious MINI owner.</p>

<p>Yeah this should fall into the “don't try this at home” catagory.</p>
<p>But, if you install yourself, it will not be covered under warranty. Only if it is dealer installed will it be covered.</p>
