It seems that over the past couple of years MINI has been quietly gaining a reputation for offering well designed, modern wrist watches. The 2005 collections seems to carry on that tradition yet again. And wouldn't you know it, we've managed to get a sneak peak at the next generation of MINI 2005 watches due out in a few months:
Note: From the information we received the first watch is meant for men and the rest for women. Unfortunately we have no information yet on pricing, release dates or availability.

FYI – I've been told these photos do not do these watches any justice. Here's a real-life pic of the mens watch: outmotoring.com/photos/2005detroitmini/pages/DSC1295JPG.htm

The new pictures look alot nicer, thanks Gabe.

BTW, I hope the Philly Show next month has as nice a MINI booth as Detroit. Last year's was kind of lame if you as me.

I love the mens one, can't wait for this to be released. i like how the LCD digits read.

nice, i really like that mens watch. not sure the wife'll dig the womens though.

Why don't they come out with a nice watch with swiss movement? I think it will sell.

Thanx for the link to OM…nice pics.

As watch aficionado, I do not like these…at all, even as a collectible. The Spongebob BurgerKing watches were better.

Just my opinion.

If you want a really nice, beautiful, fine, well crafted watch… try this site http://www.patek.com and find true time keeping love.

The first Mini watch is interesting and I could see dropping $100 or so on it. Wouldn't quality swiss movement bump the price to close to $1000? That's a bit much for Mini branded watch IMHO.

Now this is a cool watch:

I don't think adding swiss movement is what their watches NEED. What they NEED is good design. They seem pretty far from that right now.

I almost forgot.

MINI is not a high enough classed car to warrant a watch that costs more than, lets say.. a fossil. But a Fossil designed MINI Watch would be a step in the right direction.
Next, check out some other Higher Quality Branded Watches… Tag Heuer has made Merceds branded/inspired watch.

There is also a 4 cylinder Audi Watch, very nice.

I was at the Detroit Auto Show yesterday and I saw the women's watches in the display- and now I want one. These pictures do not do them justice at all. I didn't know they weren't released yet; I would have got a snap of them.
