Last month MotoringFile exclusively revealed that BMW was planning a third Traveller concept based on the forthcoming next generation MINI. This time the concept will make it’s world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
We’ve since learned that MINI will unveil a distinctively sporty version of the exact same car that was shown at Frankfurt and Tokyo earlier in the year. We hope to have sketches and photos and detailed information about the new concept in the coming days.

You’ll be there, with a digicam and web feed, right? 😉 I’m hoping for a more rational car this time ’round.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it this year due to some other commitments. However we’ll have all the official pictures most likely before the debut and hopefully some first hand accounts from readers.
I’m going to be there, barring anything unseen.
there’s no way i’m gonna miss this, if i can figure out how to post my digital pics on the net, they will be up for all to see!
Wraith — if you can’t find someplace to host those pics, let me know. I can host them for you! db (at) dbmini dot us
And I hope that it goes without saying that any MF reader that gets to the Detroit show can just email MotoringFile the pics and we’ll include them in our MINI at Detroit gallery.
BMW Press has announced that all three MINI Concepts (Detroit, Frankurt, Tokyo) will be shown in the MINI LOUNGE at the Brussels Motorshow at the same time! The Detroit Traveller can eb shown on one place at the same time, so the Traveller in Brussels will be a 3D digital live image. So all three concepts will be visible at the same time on the Brussels Motorshow. The three concepts will be shown to groups of 26 people at a time to be able to perform this technical novity.
Nothing for LA?
MF,
I will send you pics as I will be attending the NAIAS preview.
Happy Holidays!
