They may not get the power figures right (who has) but they do a good job taking us through the ultimate factory MINI. Here’s an excerpt:
>In GP form, the Mini feels even more vibrant than the regular Cooper S. Maybe it’s the reduction in sound deadening, perhaps it’s the weight loss and perhaps (just perhaps), it’s the four extra horsepower (ed: yes that should be eight), but the GP feels tangibly more alert than a regular Cooper S. The small-car feel and agility is enhanced – look over your shoulder and there are no plus-two seats, just some luggage space in front of the hatchback rear – while the new, GP-unique Recaro seats are more huggable than the usual chairs too.

Hmmm… Interesting that they’ve used all the press photos and none of their own. Kinda makes me wonder if they drove the car at all…
Specwise, a great deal for those who’ve bought — but I don’t envy those tasteless DIY looks. If only BMW had really manufactured the advance artist’s impression, I’d have left my deposit in place and now be looking forward to owning the ultimate supercharged MINI…
