MINI USA will be rolling out the JCW Convertible with the start of April Production (which opens for modification through February 24th). There is no specific on-sale date because of this. However expect the first cars to arrive in the US sometime late in April.
MINI USA is setting pricing for the Convertible at $34,300 ($34,850 including shipping). Yes that is the most expensive MINI ever – $3500 more than the JCW Clubman.
Some specific things to note about ordering the car:
– Body-colored Interior Surface (318) cannot be ordered here like on
the “regular†convertibles. That’s because the JCW logo can only be used in conjunction with
Piano Black or Fluid Silver surfaces.
– As with the coupe and Clubman, the Sport Package is not available
– The three 17†wheel choices are the standard Challenge
Spoke wheels, the no-cost Crown Spokes in silver or black and lastly, the Black Bullet Spokes. The latter two will have all-season tires available.

Is it really now 500 bucks for a wind deflector? I don’t get it – this should be a standard item in the convertible, not a very expensive option!!!!!

Please tell me I didn’t undertsand the price list?

people on this website will justify that price by saying its because: Mini/BMW are doing us the favor by listening to us. They know that we want the purchasing experience to be hassle free, and we are willing to pay a premium for it. Some people want it, some people don’t… and BMW/Mini has thankfully given us that choice to make, at a low low $500 for a piece of plastic.

Makes my GP look like a bargain now!

$35k for this car is getting up there.

I am # 1 on my dealers list, Gabe I hear real limited availability, did you?

I don’t think they’re going to sell too many R57 JCWs at that price. But that’s just me.

I am # 1 on my dealers list, Gabe I hear real limited availability, did you?

Since I doubt dealers plan on stocking many 35k+ MINIs I’d imagine they’ll have limited availability!

I hear they will all be custom orders only

I looked close at the ordering guide, because of the bike rack in the conevience package and the exterior chrome in the premium package, the aero kit can not be added. Same with black mirror caps or same color, premium package adds the exterior chrome that comes with chrome mirror caps.

I did hear about limited availability…of interested buyers. Not worth the price, IMHO.
