We’re just hours away from MINI United 2009 and the official kick-off of MINI’s 50th birthday party. So what will this weekend bring? From what we’ve heard we’ll be seeing the ultra limited edition MINI JCW F1 (reported on several times over the last month), and the more widely available Camden and Mayfair editions. In case you forgot or missed the news, here’s what each of these special editions will bring:
– F1: Unique non-metallic British racing green, dark JCW wheels, JCW aerokit, interior badges, etc and rumored to only be available in the UK
– Mayfair: Hot Chocolate body color with unique wheels, interior trim and badges – available in most markets
– Camden: Silver White (R52 Sidewalk color) with unique wheels, interior trim and badges – available in most markets
So our question to you; what else will we see? Or to put it another way, what would you like to see as a surprise debut at MINI United this weekend?
Look for our coverage to commence Friday when Todd and DB interview the likes of Mike Cooper, Gert Hildebrand and Rauno Aaltonen along with some other surprises.

Its going to be a blast to see the pictures and experience this from a distance. A solid thank you goes out to all the Mini fanatics going to the event that shares your time and experience with the rest of us.

Ive left it too late to get my car on a club stand so I would like to see a surprise appearance of my mini in the show

it looks that we are going to have a world premiere on MINI United. there is a teaser photo on German web site (mini.de) Look at it on MINI Aktuell

MCS diesel (2.0L)

@Mark: amen!

I dig the new green

I still think that a birthday weekend (the 50th, no less) that only promises to show some “limited” color packages is about as un-exciting as it gets.
so what surprise debut would I rather see? Pretty much anything but what is currently planned.

pictures pictures i want too see hundereds of pic’s

I would like to see more information about the 2010 model, and confirmation about whether its a refresh or not, or if some options will now become standard.

But more on wishful thinking, I would like them to announce a bigger motor (1.8L-2.0), but like I said, its wishful thinking… thanks to Obama signing that stupid emissions/fuel bill, Mini (and just about every other mfg) can’t afford to make a motor that sips more gas.

Ditto here, pictures of the special editions and more info regarding the 2010 model starting in September!

I wonder who will be popping-out of the cake?
