You know, the roofline of the coupe concept, if you ignore the back glass, looks similar to the Triumph TR7/TR8 Wedge cars’ roofline dating back to the late 70s…

How about some photos of speedster with the top up and operational video. Too bad they don’t have the speedster or coupe side by side with the r57 for comparison.

I love both these cars, but I’m feeling kind of disappointed the Countryman wasn’t shown…since it is the car I’m looking forward to possibly buying (although my wife says we can get a coupe after our ’06 MCS is paid off which should be about the time it comes out)

Neither Roadster nor Coupe opened their boots @ Frankfurt. The top of the Roadster also remained down despite repeated requests that they close it. As for the interior shots of the Coupe… those that you’ve seen were snapped on the rare occasion that Gert Hildebrand OK’d a quick look inside.

something is fishy with the image linked above. The coupe looks like it has the roll over bars from the speedster. And the hinges on the speedster’s rear lid look completely phony – as if they fold down into the rain gutter instead of inside the weatherstripping. Its either a computer graphic, or a photoshop job on top of a photo.

please tell me that they will actually make it… and previous post on MotoringFile (the one right below this on the main page) has pics ofr the Speedster with the top up, and the boots of both cars open…

Das ist gut. Sehr gut. Ich leibe alle MINI.

If you buy the white interior, I am pretty sure Mini bundles a detailer person in the trunk with it.

somebody from MF promised to post some close-up photos of the dash and the center stack a couple of days ago…Pleeeease ?

I’m I having a mirage or is the seat lower in the roadster than it is in the coupe?

My ’08 R52 convertible gives me all that these cars have, AND I have a back seat to haul people and stuff.

fixed by the clubman owner…

(heeheehee)

I would love to see the inside of the Coupe with the hatch opened.

Strangely quiet after out there.

Not sure where they do it but the 9/15 FLD show had a image of both cars with their boots open.

warning. that video locked up the latest firefox and safari 3 on osx multiple times and could not be viewed.

Typical Flash doing what it does best… crash my browser…

it’s ok, if you go to the motoringfile flickr page they have that shot too; and it looks like a computer rendering anyways…

edit: here you go: http://www.flickr.com/photos/motoringfile/3922940638/sizes/l/in/set-72157622385937116/

Correction to Hardingsan: Okay, I’ve only hauled one or two adults in the back seat since I’ve owned the R52.

Good find Hardingsan that shot wasn’t in the flikr page last time I checked.
