MINI vs Porsche: Post Your Live Updates
Due to a nightmare of scheduling conflicts we won’t be at the race today. However we will be covering it from several angles. One of them is from you. Yes, if you’re at the race today whip out your smart phones, load this post on MF and let us know first hand what you’re seeing in the comment section.

<p>Been here since 10:15. There are about 20 MINIs here now, and 0 Porsches. According to someone from MINI who came out to set up the signs earlier, there will be “hot laps” of the FULL track for guests. There will be.a “lead car” but “he will be driving hard.”</p>

<p>Now what was this I vaguely remember reading somewhere that it would be broadcast live? Will that be on MF or the MINI USA FB page?</p>
<p>I just talked to the Video guy. I’m not sure about LIVE, but they have 5 handheld HD cameras and 26 GoPro HDs set up around the courses and in the cars.</p>
<p>BTW, the first Porsche just showed up. Black on Black wheels 997, from what I can see from here.</p>
<p>It’ll be streamed live at Mini USA Facebook page. There is a count down clock showing there now!</p>
<p>Facebook page won’t be showing it till 8pm EST – suppose they need time to edit. I hope there is some other video feed in the meantime..</p>

<p>Porsche won, and keeps on winning as MINI USA is now having technical difficulties getting the video live. Delayed an hour so far…</p>

<p>Rocky lost his fight too, and they are still making movies about him!</p>
<p>Somebody that posted over on Autoblog claimed there was a JCW there as well, and they gave that a shot against the Porsche? Any truth in that rumor?</p>
<p>Looking at the video again they show a mini being unloaded from a carrier, a red one with some graphics on the side. This was not the car we saw racing the Porsche – was that a JCW?</p>
