MINI USA reported small sales growth for April, with sales only rising 1% over April of 2012. Year-to-date sales are also flat, actually down slightly at -0.4%. MINI’s official statement and sales chart follow after the jump, but one word of clarification: BMW has transposed the Hardtop and Clubman numbers.
Official news: MINI USA reported sales of 5,786 automobiles in April, an increase of 1.0 percent from the 5,731 sold in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, MINI sales in the U.S. are down 0.4 percent on volume of 19,841 compared to 19,911 in the first four months of 2012.

Coupe is not doing so well it seems. Roadster is gaining, but the convertible is still tops in the roofless category (although not by much). I hope that means they won’t kill it in the future.

Woohoo, I was one of the 168 Coupes (although it might only count delivered cars as sales, not ordered cars in which case I’ll be on May’s sales)

I had no idea that the Clubman was such an overwhelming favorite, sales-wise. I would have guessed the Hardtop.

I ordered a Roadster this month. Despite the numbers above, in my town it is THE most rare MINI to see on the road. I’ve seen three Coupes out driving and a grand total of ZERO Roadsters.

IIRC the Roadster outsold the Convertible a few months ago. January, maybe? Clearly the Convertible rebounded.

Nicely done!

Woohoo, I was one of the 1800 Countrymen. Guess you’re in far more exclusive company.

As it says in the article, I believe the table provided by BMW is in error and has transposed the hardtop and clubman numbers.

I can’t be bothered with your silly “facts” or things like actually reading a very short article before commenting on it!

Ha!

I am Proud to be one of the 507 hardtop S’s, Ordered mine Apr 13th!!

One of those Clubman is mine!
