Exterior dimensions:
– Length: 4,253 millimetres (167 in)
– Width: 1,800 millimetres
– Height: 1,441 millimetres
– Wheelbase: 2,670 millimetres

Length: (167 in)

8 inches shorter than the Mazda 3 Hatch. (175)

1.1 inches longer than the VW GTI (165.9)

VW website says 2dr GTI is 168″ long….and the Beetle is 168.4″ ! ! !

F54 Clubman is shorter than a Beetle! Wrap your brain around THAT! :- )

Here’s a table from Consumer Reports with dimensions of all new cars…Clubman is still shorter than a lot of the small SUVs and small hatches/wagons.

http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/types/exterior-and-cargo-comparison.htm

Ok, thanks. The website I got the GTI length number I guess was wrong.

I have owned an Audi A4 Avant and an S4 Avant and this car could really replace those cars for me. Sure looks like a great car to me.

So no space for the donut spare? Ho about below the car using a hook system?

So no space for the donut spare? How about a hook style device underneath?

When will we see weights?

UK site- Cooper S 1360kg, about 3000 lbs. I’ll guess the US version will be a little heavier, 100 lbs.

http://www.mini.co.uk/model-range/clubman/cooper-s/facts-and-stats/

The blue upholstery pattern doesn’t resonate well with the rest of the interior. It reminds me of a 1954 dining room set. The rest of the car looks just right.

Decisively upscale car feel from R generation MINIs. Possibly the only one in today’s US market fitting “Luxury/Premium Station Wagon with manual transmission” title, possibly with 4WD in near future.

I hope the MINI team heard loud and clear people didn’t like protruding lower bumper/brake cooling duct etc and move to this direction (assuming the brake air duct chrome is optional, not required as standard) for LCI for F55/56.

JCW Sport Seats and JCW Aero Kit are listed, along with 19″ wheel options. Can’t wait to see how that will look.

Wild guess, amazing.

Let’s hope. Pair that with 300HP and AWD, I could be a customer.

+1.

Here is the answer…

Be still, my beating heart.

136 HP seems kind of low for it’s size. Yes because it’s has a Turbo the Torque makes up for it, but – wasn’t the HP an issue with the Base Countryman? Guess time will tell.

base countryman had 121 hp and about the same torque.
Try looking at the torque on the ‘new’ engine. Yes, the torque will make up for it as anyone who has driven a cooper countryman and a f56 cooper can tell you.

Backseat cup holders? The 4 door hardtop is already getting slammed for having less than the 2 door hardtop. I didn’t see any backseat cup holders in the pictures or mentioned in the text. Just more negatives for consumer reports.

If you give a f*** about cup holder, buy a Hyundai.

Tisk tisk, your mother would be ashamed of how you turned out. Surely she tried her best to make you into a decent human. It appears she failed.

Back seat center 20% looks like it has a pull down arm rest. I would guess it will have cup holders.

cup holders will be in the rear center arm rest.

Secret glove box seems to have disappeared, is that optional now?

No it’s gone.

Oh, I’ve got on on my F56, but you can get much in it anymore.

It was a cost saving decision. The vent in the glove is gone, along with the stash in the dash and the cargo net under the flat load floor for the ’16 two and four doors on.

Good Day,

So I was
snooping around http://www.mini.co.uk/model-range/clubman/, it looks as if the
new Clubman is going to be about 4.5K GBP more than the standard hard top,
between both the Cooper and Cooper S models. Can we expect it to be the same in
USD? What is your opinion on that price difference?

My take
is that seems like a fairly good price. If I remember correctly the last
Clubman was about a 1K premium. The Countryman is currently a 2K premium, over
the F56, and with all the extra material, and better materials, this 4.5K
increase does not seem too crazy. I think they will place it somewhere around
3.5K and the hybrid at about 6K.

Thoughts?
