The rumors have been confirmed. MINI is planning on releasing an all wheel drive (ALL4) version of the F54 Clubman this spring. Sources familiar with the plans have told us that production of the ALL4 Clubman will begin in March of 2016 with deliveries happening shortly afterwards. And that’s just the start.
Sources tell us that later in 2016 MINI will finally unveil the JCW Clubman which will come standard with a slightly revised version of the ALL4 system. Production of the JCW ALL4 Clubman will commence in November of 2016. We’ll have more on that soon.
Why would you consider an ALL4 Clubman over a standard front wheel drive model? It’s all about priorities. We’ll go into those priorities and all the technical details of the new ALL4 Clubman tomorrow.

Any word if the JCW clubman will have the hi-po engine?

We’ll have details later this week.

Here’s hoping for confirmation of what senior MINI staff hinted to me at the invasion; ~300 hp with a 5.1 second 0-100 kmh sprint. #fastestminiever

Yes, if they put out an AWD 300ish hp Clubman it will be my next car, the only sad thing is I’ll have to get an auto for the wife. I can only imagine the sticker though, I’m already at $40k in the configurator.

On the bright side, the automatic means launch control and a bonkers amount of crackle and pop from the anti-lag before you set off.

What would a AWD 300 HP Clubman compete with?

For me, a Golf R.

Focus RS, Golf R, GLA 45 AMG. If it were up to me I’d get the RS due to performance and price but the wife wants a Mini and needs and auto so…

Thanks. Let us know if the Manual transmission will also be coming with the AWD and JCW too.

The JCW will be : around 270 hp, and exclusively 8-speed auto + AWD

300 is a fantasmatic value that would bring no more real performance, the engine torque is much more important

Oh well.

No, the engine is the same as all other F56-gen JCWs.

I’ve always liked the Audi A4-all road or Subaru Legacy Outback. The MINI Clubman with AWD would make it on to my cars of interest for sure.

Not sure if I need 300 hp, but for larger/heavier Clubman body and AWD, a little extra for JCW variant would be nice. Maybe 275 hp range would be realistic enough? If that happens, JCW ALL4 F54 could be my next MINI. Manual transmission of course. My wife isn’t much into driving anyway, and my buddies I do outdoor activities with (long drive and/or possibility of injury on our way back) can drive stick.

I guess I’m a prime example of what MINI thinks as the target audience for this car. Love the MINI and the brand, semi-enthusiast, but realizing the grown family situation and do-all vehicle needs that I didn’t have when I got into MINI, and wanting a bit more sophistical premium feel to the next car. I also turned out to be a city dwelling designer guy like how you guys were talking on the whiteroof radio the other day, the type of audience MINI wants to speak to again (tho I’m not a hipster!)

I could see myself riding my motorcycles for fun, getting a practical yet still fun F54 JCW and maybe getting a classic Mini when I’m even older… Guess their new marketing is working.

The awd JCW Clubman would be a great replacement for my wife’s ’08 Audi S4 Avant.
