Despite products that are in the last years of their cycle, MINI USA sales in Q1 are as good as they’ve been in years. MINI brand sales in the U.S. totaled 6,876 vehicles in the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 9.4% vs the 6,285 vehicles sold in the first quarter of 2021.

As you can see to the right MINI USA hardtop sales were relatively flat with only a 4% increase. But jumping off the screen is the massive sales figures for the F60 MINI Countryman – a car that is scheduled to be replaced in just 18 months. with 2,997 sold the Countryman saw an increase of 38.6%. Also interesting is the Q1 success of the Clubman – a car destined to be discontinued and replaced with a small crossover.

Looking ahead MINI will be launching its all new electric hatch early next year with sales beginning in late 2023. That will be following with an all electric small crossover and the larger Ice and electric Countryman.
