The MINI Rolls Royce edition that we exclusively scooped last summer has reportedly been green lit according to Autocar:

>Highly placed sources at BMW have told Autocar that the cars will “totally individual” and the project is seeking to create “niche vehicles” for customers.

Our sources are telling us that the package will be an entirely bespoke limited edition model including custom dash, headliner and other signature items. The exterior will be finished in Ming Blue (seen above in these prototype images and here) first used by Rolls in 1992 on a special 25th anniversary Rolls-Royce Corniche IV of which only 25 were produced. These special edition MINIs will be extremely limited and, while we can’t currently confirm, the special edition MINI is expected to cost in excess of $50,000. Not bad, if you ask us, considering the exclusivity and high quality craftsmanship that Rolls Royce is known for.

Keep in mind that the car above was simply a design exercise and the final product will likely look quite a bit different.
