Official MINI UK Press Release: For a third successive month, MINI UK has posted record new car registrations. This fantastic hat-trick underlines the new model’s popularity with British motorists and confirms that the engineering and design changes to the second generation new MINI have been a rousing success. March was MINI’s biggest-selling month since launching in 2001, with a total of 7,869 new cars hitting UK roads. Subsequently, best-ever April and May sales were achieved with 3,729 and 3,776 registrations respectively.

Given that the entire MINI range boasts some of the strongest residual values in the used car market, it comes as no surprise that the manufacturer’s own used car scheme, MINI Cherished, is also booming. The Cherished Weekend, held across MINI’s dealer network over 2/3 June, was key in helping secure another record with 764 orders for MINI used cars taken around the country.
