All four of us actually together all at the same time talking about MINI stuff like we like to do.
Before going any further, I would like to take the opportunity to remind you that both Todd and myself will be at AMVIV this year and you should be too. If you missed the news, Palace Station has extended the group rate so you can sign up a little later. Don’t wait until the last minute however.
Also, thanks to everyone for sending in those events! Michael and I will be recording a new Event Cast this week and I hope to have it up by the weekend.
Finally, news of the week from MotoringFile. Including Gabe’s take on a few stories we covered last week plus we all give our take on the new JCW body kit and the JCW car in general.
If you missed it, MotoringFile has a brand new Facebook page. A new one for WRR is in the works and will be ready soon. Watch this space for updates!

Whats the name of the website with the chat room that hosts this live. I couldnt find a link on the wrr website. Also what is the schedule?

When we do a live show we use Ustream.tv. And there isn’t a schedule. We do try to do a live show at least once a month and it usually happens on Thursdays at 7:00pm PST.

I also usually post an annoucement here and at WRR the morning of a live show to give everyone a chance to check it out.

I wanted to comment on your portion of the show where you guys discussed the 09 factory JCW. I am new to MINI. And I think I have a unique view do to the fact that I am new to the brand.

I never drove a MINI until I took a manual and auto S for a test drive. Then I drove a JCW and decided that that was the car for me.

I bought a car that was on the lot that someone had ordered and did not take possession of. It has the factory aero kit with painted arches and sport suspension. I would have preferred the JCW aero kit which should have come standard. I just had the JCW leather steering wheel, gear shift and JCW suspension installed (JCW suspension should be standard too.) Now I think its a real JCW. Did I spend too much? I don’t know. I like the car a lot. Its very cool and no one has a car like mine. At least not in the NYC area. Its unique.

I like the JCW branding. Its different enough for me when compared to an S. Had there not been a factory JCW, I do not think I would have bought a MINI.
