The Woofcast is back! So much in fact that we had to split it into 2 parts this week. Starting off tonight, Todd and Gabe spend some time getting caught up, including Gabe’s latest BMW press cars. Of course, this is the MINI Cooper Podcast, so they finished off talking about news of the week from Motoringfile.com as usual.
Tune in tomorrow for part 2 when Todd and I recap MINI United!
Don’t forget, you can keep up with all that’s going on at WRR with our Twitter Machine or on our Facebook page

Welcome back guys, great to see you guys back in action. I look forward to part 2 since I forbade myself from Mini United so not harass Mini execs about the R60 ;). I have enjoyed all the pictures and interviews you guys picked up over there and look forward to hearing a bit more.

I’m also looking forward to part 2. Even though I attended MINI United, it’s always great to hear the recaps 🙂 I’m at work now and can’t listen to the podcast until later, but will that answer my question of why there’s a BMW X* in the photo above?? Is that Gabe’s new press car?

New Diesel X5, promo car and dealer display X5, some have the graphics, sme just say diesel.
I saw this down in SC at the plant, did not get to drive it yet.

I really like the 135i on the track in SC this year, but I wish I could have a JCW vs. 135i on their home turf.

This was an old promo car turned into a press car that they didn’t get the graphics off of yet. Apparently it was scheduled before my pick-up and didn’t happen.

It’s a good ride. The 3.0 TT diesel is better in the X5 than in the 335d. The charecter of the engine goes well with an SUV. Auto is fine for an SUV, and the torque really helps the SUV get going. I’d give the 335d and B-/C+ and the X5d a B+/A-.

I found it very interesting how the same engine in two different chassis gave quite a different driving impression.

Of course, these are all my subjective opinions. Others may (and probably do) think differently….

Thanks for the info, I have seen so many version of the graphics for the dealership network, and it seems they did these at the VDC with Spartan help:)

I did see a one off x6 last month, very cool.

I like the graphics because for dealership people will know what it is. And it seems to be very BMW on promo cars so I find it funny they did not take them off. Thats the one X5 I have not driven. I wonder how it feels next to the old X5 4.8, (my Fav), I do like the preproduction v12 they slaped in one.
