A MINI Cooper B-Spec race car driven by Robbie Davis, and fielded by MINI of Charleston, came in second at the first Grand Am B-Spec this last weekend. Davis not only lead the race at one point, but turned in the fastest lap time of the race. The podium was rounded out by a Mazda2 in first place and a Ford Fiesta in third. According to our man on the ground there at the race, the winning Mazda2 driver counts the track at Homestead as his “home track”, and Robbie Davis in the second place MINI was encountering the course for the first time. In fact, were it not for an untimely slide on the wet track, Davis may have taken first.
