For the first time in a long time it looks like worldwide MINI sales may fall short of the previous year. In the first eight months of the year, global MINI brand sales achieved almost the same high level as last year with 229,204 units sold worldwide (-0.7%).
Not bad numbers but it is interesting given that this is the first full year of Countryman production – the car that has been seen as the brand’s sales savior. That said there are countless factors at play when you’re talking about global sales – product is just one of them.
