MINI Names Top Ten Most Wild Locations in the UK

OFFICIAL RELEASE
MINI UK has revealed the UK’s top ten wildest beauty locations, helping MINI Countryman owners beat the busiest spots for an off the beaten track adventure this summer.
From waterways to peaks and underground caves, over 100 nature-based locations across Britain were identified and judged against two sets of criteria to measure both popularity[1] and wildness[2]. The average of these scores then determined the best, undiscovered and wild hidden gems of 2021.
Taking the number one spot is Uyea in Shetland, Scotland, an uninhabited island which lies off the Northmavine peninsula and is only accessible at low tide. There are several natural arches along its rocky coastline and challenging rock climbs, making it the perfect destination for the avid adventurer.
Here are the top ten ranked ‘wild wonder’ destinations;
Rank | Location | County | Country |
1 | Uyea | Shetland | Scotland |
2 | Llyn Dinas | Gwynedd | Wales |
3 | Binevenagh | County Londonderry | Northern Ireland |
4 | Gaping Gill | North Yorkshire | England |
5 | Whiteless Pike | Cumbria | England |
6 | Llyn Glaslyn | Gwynedd | Wales |
7 | Pedn Vounder Beach | Cornwall | England |
