Well done MINI USA and MINI owners of America!
If this keeps up you guys will be the biggest market real soon.
As gas prices increase so do MINI sales. You guys have really taken to the car as if it were your own…perhaps American Frank Stevenson knew a winner when he designed it.
Wait until the MINI pickup is released – the folks who like rear trays will go nuts!

Of the 3662 sold in July of 2005…. I’m personally responsible for delivering (2) :)…lol.
After being an owner since 06/2002 I recently became a M.A. (07/01/2005) @ Hassel MINI on LI… and am having a blast selling and meeting & greeting many of my old motoring friends and establishing new ones.

Peace,
D

Interesting that MCS sales have overtaken MC sales with an over 2500 drop in YTD sales for the MC.

For all of us who see the world in spreadsheets, are you projecting August 2005 sales to be the same as July? ;-)

Greg W, It’s funny you mention the price of gas. One of the first questions I’ve been getting from admirers of my MCS on the street is,”It get’s good gas mileage, right?” The latest was from a guy in a new Frontier pickup.

I think such a question is symptomatic of the price of gas really wearing on these truck/SUV drivers.

Sorry for the digression. I’m not at all surprised by the sales numbers. Keep it up!

the brand, mistique, charm, uniqueness, and yes, novelty of the car intensifies even more.

correction..

i meant to say..

the dilution of the brand, mistique, charm, uniqueness, and yes, novelty of the car, intensifies even more

JimOhio

I really feel sorry for you, in fact I pity you. You purchased your new MINI for all the wrong reasons. The ONLY reason for the new MINI cooper is to be fun to drive. The thought of stopping it (parking) to show it off is an offence to all sensibilities

mistique is not a word JIM!

Jim, you have convinced me. I am going to get rid of my MINI at once and begin driving an orange ice cream truck with tiger stripes–now that would be unique and charming…

Oh God…not JimOhio again beating the “MINIUSA should only aim for exclusivity and not profit” dead horse.

Here we go again…

yo mammy,

Did you see. You can have your MINI and eat your ice cream to.
