They have videos posted of what the game will look like. If it’s anywhere near the same quality, looks like it will be a blast to play! Too bad we have to wait until May to check it out.

What platform will this be available on? Is this a PC or Console game, or an arcade machine stationed in dealerships? Will this be available in North America, or is it exclusive to South Africa??
Hmmm, did some Googling. Looks like this will probably be based on [Luma’s]http://www.luma.co.za/ [ClubSilo]http://www.luma.co.za/propeller/index.html “Arcade Racer” which was developed using [Blender]http://www.blender.org/
Looks very cool!
Great find, Avitor!! There is a downloadable demo available on the Luma site for all who want to play now. It is s PC game, and an interesting note is that the ClubSilo Demo uses R53s as its model, but MINI37 will use R56s.
There is also a downloadable video of actual gameplay, and the game does look pretty cool. If you read the PDFs, you get some more information on the game.
Ok, I downloaded adn installed ClubSilo, and hopefully they will polish it a little more before MINI37 is released. My PC is just short of the recommended hardware and the framerate is still very choppy, even at the lowest resolution. There are also a lot of clipping issues and some weird physics when the cars bump into each other.
will the new cooper s automatic be like the r53 automatic? will it be slow and not accurate?
Oh, man. I REALLY hope this turns out to be a REAL game… and not like the REAL movie “Hammer and Coop”. It’s going to be a LONG wait ’till May.
I played a preview at the R56 Launch party at one of the dealers here in Johannesburg last night.
I can confirm that it is a PC game.
At the party they had set up two networked PC’s, hooked up to racing seats, force feedback steering wheels with paddles (one for nitro, the other for the handbrake) and pedals.
The preview was of excellent quality and very playable.
Interesting to note that not only can you drive R56 in the demo, but also R53, R50, R52 and GP models.
Hi there! News travels fast, I see.
I must stress that ClubSilo was an experimental prototype that we built to show the concept to MINI South Africa. MINI#37 is a COMPLETELY new build on a commercial game engine. We have not used any art assets or code from CLubSilo. The reason it is still dowloadable is purely for interest.
You can see some actual in-game screen shots of MINI#37 here:
