SAWEEET!
So MINI is releasing the TWINS!!!
There is always a Bad Twin…I wonder which one is gonna be which…I will say the Coopster is gonna be the Bad Twin and the Speedster is gonna be the Good Twin…
But I have been wrong in the past…with the fact that we havent seen the Speedster yet…and the Bad Twin jumped out of the Mirror…the Speedster could very well be the BAD Twin…
Am I over analyzing this???

This MINI commercial really got to me on a deep level. It truly showed that I have as much chance as taking those twins home with me, as I have of taking both the Coopster and Speedster home with me :)

I really loved this video. It reminded Me of this classic scene, from the following show(that was actually a play on a classic scene, from a classic movie, lol):

I believe the first mirror gag was by Marx brothers in one of their movies (Duck Soup?) Then it was copied by many. Anyone know a earlier reference?

MINI gave the people what they asked for…we shall see if MINI made the right move…Seeing that the R60 is on the back burner for the time being, if these cars are a flop, it will only be a sign that MINI should have done what they were gonna do all along…go forward with the R60 before the eventual development of other variants…That being said, BMW is not a company who has ever released something into the marketplace that fell flat on its face.

@Sideways Eh!: You had me until that last R60 comment. MINI hasn’t changed the plans Goethe R60 at all. The introduction and production simply was pushed back a couple of month due to a slight delay in moving the X3 production out of the factory in Austria (where the R60 will be built by Magna). MINI is as committed as ever to the R60 (right or wrong) and fully expect it to be a success.

I recall reading a biography of Edward DeBono a while ago indicating (if my memory is correct) along the lines that a miror reflection is an image of the subject from its back to its front (i.e., like a mask inside out) – not a simple rtransition of the subject from right to left (& vice-versa) – however the mind construes this as a standard 3-d projection of the subject… very strange psychological stuff at play with this clip.

So, the rock ‘n roller depicts Mission Control?

“Two untamed” references the coupe and speedster concepts that will be shown at Frankfurt.

Excellent promo IMO!

Boo! I prefer cars in my car ads. Sorry.

There was a time when MINI marketing was actually cool.

A little scary. Well see what happens on the 15th.

I still think a Cooper D would be much cooler than a coupe or a speedster.

You guys noticed the sudden “vanishing” of the R60 from the radar screen?

MINI just revealed the second part of the twin video: http://www.minispace.com/en_us/article/twins-video-part-two/280/?utm_source=s_nk_206
