I thought you would like to know the Auxillary Gauges kit is now available for the 2005 Mini Cooper S. The part number is 82-94-0-303-934. While there was some discrepency as to if this would work in the '05s, my service advisor tells me they will fit. I have an installation appointment scheduled for Tuesday, and will let you know how they look and work.

i got my '05 cooper delivered in october and had the aux guages installed at delivery. not sure what part number they are – but they have been flawless.

How much for part and installation?

I TOO HAD MY '05 COOPER S DELIVERED IN SEPT. WITH THE AUX GAUGE PAK. LOOKS GREAT AND WOORKS FINE. THE DEALER DIDNT EVEN QUESTION IF IT WOULD WORK OR NOT.

Is this it?

All,

It appears (at least from the photo in the 2005 accessories workbook) that the difference in the new 05 aux gauge set is that the new gauges have chrome bezels to match the chrome line interior. Other than that, I'd say they are identical (this would also explain the difference in the part numbers – the old one was 82-94-0-148-956 and the new one is 82-94-0-303-934).

How does the package interfere with the storage area behind the cupholders? I've noticed that the 05 configuration is more open back there than the 04–open from the front and sides. Do the guages use up this space, and how much does the dealer want for the parts + install? Thanks!

so does this mean the gauges are the same as the 04 Aux Gauges. My 05 MCS is on its way, and i have the chrono pak, which already has an oil temp gauge. I was hoping Mini would offer a different gauge for people that have the chrono pak like me. oh well, still cool!

I have an '05 MCS with the (very expensive) aux. gauge package.

FYI, the gauges are very difficult to see while driving as they're recessed about 2 inches back at the very bottom of the console. Viewing them while driving is a great way to crash your MINI!

However, I'd glad to have them as it's great to have oil temp and volts.
