One thing that we've seen in some of the Geneva photos are the new optional HID Xenon headlights that take the place of the current design offered in the MINI. As mentioned previously on MotoringFile these new units offer several advantages over the previous design…

First off they have what MINI refers to as automatic range control (a new self leveling system perhaps?). Secondly they have an additional ring of spots that “give the car another sign of distinction.” And finally they have the natural advantages of HID.
