This bit of news from the BMW Car Club of America monthly magazine the Roundel: On average US MINI dealers have generated and additional $1.2 million in profit per dealership. Pretty good considering the average initial investment was only $500,000.

I assumed that meant $1.2 million additional profit for the company and not for the dealer. The dealer probably gets to keep considerably less to pay off the initial $.5M and other expenses. I'm sure most the of the dealers are happy with the return on investment nonetheless.

Perhaps the Roundel needs to elaborate a bit.
