There are a few updates on MINIUSA.com that may be of some interest. First, as reported on MotoringFile previously, it would appear that an end to the Anthracite headliner drama in the US is officially here and it's return to the US is immanent. The headliner has been added into the MINI ordering system and is available on MINIUSA.com. It is ZAH and is available from week 46 (early November) production onward. As reported here last week the price will be $200.
Secondly they have removed the polished and Anthracite versions of the new R99 wheels. No word as to why but lets hope that the roll-out is just pushed back a few months.
Finally, there are now pictures accompanying the White Sunroof Graphic and Checkered Sunroof Graphic options. Could this be the white/frosted sunroof that was mentioned in several articles earlier this summer?

That's a great way to start a Monday morning. As I've mentioned before, I'm in for November production. That's awesome news.
Thanks Gabe for making my day!

i can't find the frosted glass pictures, anyone know where to look?

Amit

Amit – It's at the end of the “Accessories” – “Exterior Styling” section in the Mini Configurator. It doesn't appear to be frosted either…it looks like it's just a perforated decal.

If you want to see better pics of what that looks like, go to Cooperflags.com and look at their Sunroof Covers Gallery near the bottom.

I hope, if I ever decide to get a white roof, that I will be able to get the glass. I personally don't like that white solid roof. It doesn't look frosted it looks like metal.

…RB

glass is dangerous – stick with solid so you won't get hurt

…by the glass I mean the dark glass…RB

…Also, does that mean they will have solid metal sunfroof options for all colors?…RB

I think the white sunroof graphic is actually a decal that is pasted on top of the sunroof glass (Kind of like window tinting). I believe you can still see through the sunroof, and it isn't “solid metal.”

Yes – as mentioned in the article the it's a “sunroof graphic”.

Sorry, did not read article…RB

Yes its a decal, with ADHESIVE backing, not a water application like the full flags and it is NOT perforated, so you can't see through it. I haven't seen it in person but I doubt much light even comes through.

slh (or anyone),

Do you know if the graphic can be put on earlier sunroof cars?

thanks…

Yes they can go on any car with a sunroof and these are the part numbers:
Checkered P/N 51 14 0 390 392
White P/N 51 14 0 390 393

As far as the antracite headliner goes, I've got some close up photos of one here http://homepage.mac.com/dmpproductions/PhotoAlbum73.html

Gabe you're welcome to post these or link to them if you want.

White perforated sunroof decals aren't new – cooperflags.com has had them for a long time now. Maybe that's where MiniUSA got the idea…

i am looking for a dealer of mini coopers along with information on same. can you help me.
