For those in the Midwest that are into in cycling and scenic drives I just recieved this email from Charles that may interest you:

There are bike races in Wisconsin and Illinois involving the top pro teams in the US, from July 11th (Chicago Criterium) through July 27th.

Saturn provides cars for pacing the local races on city streets, but there is a potential for Mini drivers to work with the organizers leading or following groups of races on the longer road courses. I myself have volunteered for the very scenic and hilly Tour of Holy Hill race on Monday, July 21st. It's an all day thing. Races go out at different times depending on their category.

It would be a nice plug for Mini and a lot of fun to be part of. Please get this message out to enthusiasts who can take a day off of work and are in the area. Special need is for Monday July 14th and Tuesday July 15th, when races go on the road starting from Alpine Valley WI, a summer concert venue near Lake Geneva, and Burlington WI, a short drive from the Northern Chicago suburbs.

This is the best cycling in the US. Their website is www.internationalcycling.com.

Thanks,
Charles High
